Old BBQ Building.
« on: April 16, 2009, 01:31:00 PM »

Just left the club and there are workmen dismantling the small wooden building ( next to the asador ) that used to be the BBQ hut. Anyone know what is going to replace it ?  :o ??? :-\

The latest I heard is that: The building being reduced to rubble is the old barbecue.  The space being recovered by the removal of the building will be used as a terrace for watching bowls and/or taking meals 'al fresco'.   A new barbecue is being constructed within the pool area.   The round building will still be available as both a restaurant and meeting room.
 ;)

The building has now completely gone and a new patio (terrace) area is being created.  The area will allow people to have llunch or drinks whilst watching bowls but will have no entrance for the bowling rink.  Meals will be available from the restaurant or, in the summer, from the pool bar and/or the new barbecue building which is being built within the pool complex.  Work is progressing to complete both the barbecue and the new patio.  Whatever happens now, the removal of the old building has certainly made the area much lighter and more open. ;)

Whatever happens now there will be considerably more light in that corner of the green, that is the Poolbar ends of rinks 1 and 2.  Playing towards the Poolbar end may appear easier, but then again not necessarily.  That's bowls. ;D
